November 10th, 2009 | by Kevin Hanson |Pro Football Weekly’s Keith Schleiden named guard Ben Grubbs and defensive tackle Haloti Ngata to his Midseason All-Pro team. The only other AFC North players he named to the team were Pittsburgh’s James Harrison and Cleveland’s Joshua Cribbs.

The Ravens tried out two kickers — Mike Nugent and Billy Cundiff — today, per the Baltimore Sun. While they haven’t announced any signings, coach John Harbaugh referred to Steve Haushka as “our best option” when he appeared on WBAL.
After losing four of their past five games, the Ravens have dropped to number 14 (from 10) in the ESPN Power Rankings. The Bengals and Steelers have moved up to fourth and fifth, respectively. Meanwhile, the Browns have dropped to 32nd.
In his weekly AFC North Stock Watch column, ESPN AFC North blogger James Walker listed QB Joe Flacco and the Ravens secondary in the Falling category.
Kevin Van Valkenburg of the Baltimore Sun says fans are “delusional” if they are calling for Greg Mattison to get canned. His theory is that it’s not wise to make a mid-season coaching change, which creates instability, especially if there isn’t an alternative plan in place.
When the Ravens play the Browns on Monday night, they are likely to face Brady Quinn — not Derek Anderson — at quarterback.
Monday’s game in Cleveland isn’t yet a sellout as “a few thousand” tickets remain available and could be blacked out in Cleveland.
