Ravens sign Paul Kruger
July 25th, 2009 | by Kevin Hanson |According to BaltimoreRavens.com, the Ravens and Paul Kruger, their second-round pick, have agreed on a four-year contract earlier today.
Ravens’ rookies, quarterbacks and select veterans are due to report to training camp on Monday and Kruger will sign the contract at that point. The rest of the team is due to report on Tuesday.
Kruger, who redshirted in 2004 and then did a two-year mission, played only two seasons at Utah where he recorded 124 tackles, 10.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and two sacks.
He was Honorable Mention All-American last year and Second-team Freshman All-American in 2007.
The only rookie still to be signed is offensive tackle Michael Oher, the Ravens’ first-round pick.
Earlier in the day, a pair of AFC North opponents signed their first-round picks. The Steelers signed Ziggy Hood to a five-year contract and the Browns signed Alex Mack to a five-year contract.
