Peter Schrager of Fox Sports ranked his top 99 NFL players for ‘09 and the list included four Ravens’ players – safety Ed Reed (10th), linebacker Ray Lewis (30th), linebacker Terrell Suggs (61st) and defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (89th).

The results for the Ravens second-annual strongman competition are in.  The overall winner for defense was linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo and the overall winner for offense was lineman Bryan Mattison.

RaveTV received an Emmy for a piece they created based on Ravens linebacker Antwan Barnes’ trip to his hometown of Miami and a visit to one of his former schools, Myrtle Grove Elementary.

On Thursday, the Orioles drafted Mike Flacco, brother of Ravens QB Joe Flacco, in the 31st round.

Per Mike Preston of the Baltimore Sun, Ravens DC Greg Mattison is “excited” about undrafted rookie K.J. Gerard and GM Ozzie Newsome says Gerard “has been very impressive during the camps.”  Gerard is the all-time leader in interceptions (19) at Northern Arizona.  “I can’t tell you why he didn’t go in the draft just like I couldn’t tell you why Bart Scott didn’t go in the draft,” said Newsome. “All I know is that the kid has potential, and he definitely has a shot of making the team.”
